"I began at 156 lbs. in March 2006 and by November 2006 my all time lowest weight was 106.5 lbs." Being only 5 foot and 1/2 inch tall, my weight was out of control at 156 lbs. My asthma was getting worse, as was my arthritis. I had difficulty exercising or even doing normal daily activities. I was extremely depressed, which just fed into the vicious cycle of self-medication with food, thereby exacerbating all my other problems. As I read this book and was reminded of how our bodies are "engineered" to utilize our food, my weight loss really began to take off. The "Ultrametabolism" book isn't so much a "diet" book as it is a sensible way to live your life AND have a healthy relationship with food. I began at 156 lbs. in March 2006 and by November 2006 my all time lowest weight was 106.5 lbs. This weight may have been a little low and now it seems to have stabilized around 2 to 3 pounds on either side of 110. On a follow-up visit to my doctor, he found my blood pressure and cholesterol to be MANY points lower and back into an extremely healthy range. My asthma vastly improved, as did my painful, arthritic joints. I can move freely and exercise as much as I desire. I'm able to cross my legs again!. My depression melted away with the pounds. I feel wonderful and am no longer ashamed to be seen in public or meet new people. Deb Zaranti Chicago Heights, IL Sign Up And Read Deb's Entire Story.
